Seems to me the whole world has lost its mind. On one side, we are fighting gender equality in places where these problems barely exist, rather than to be fighting humanity equality where one side of the world lives in total poverty and the other lives in total prosperity. I find it funny that we always talk about what one gender has and what the other doesn’t but then when we turn the tables on the other way around, it’s sexist? Personally I try to detach myself from any of these conversation since I respect everyone and everything equally. Whether you are a girl, a boy or a cat of any sort, to me, we’re all beings with emotions having the same issues, just in different packages. How does it become that we are in a world where we are focusing on all these pointless issues. I work in a company that’s overrun by women and I, for one, appreciate it. To me, women are much more organised and dedicated to their jobs, but I am generalizing. Just as much as there are bad apples in men, there are bad apples in women too. And it seems to me, more and more companies are adopting more trust in women than men for the same reasons. Then I ask myself, who are all these women that say that men are so bad towards them? I remember me being a young fella going out at night to a bar, and I could remember the countless women skipping lines, while I waited outside in the freezing temperature. I remember the countless women receiving free drinks while I had to pay for mines. I remember the countless dates I went and I almost felt pressured to be the “man” and pick up the check at the end. I remember also the countless time we go for women’s days and for mothers’ days, and where I bought gifts and made the important women in my life feel appreciated. And I talk to my peers, and I hear their opinions, and it seems to me other than “they are overly emotional” comment, they seem to share a very similar opinion on how we see women as equal as us, if not better in many ways. So how come we are so consumed by this nonsense to the point we are creating protests, disrupting school services and disrupting hard working businesses to prove a point? Seems to me, and I am on the side of everything being equal, that there has to be a better way of doing things. I mean I know there are a lot of unjust things in life, but if I was to make a list, I wouldn’t have enough pages to name them all. How come as a society, we aren’t able to move on and seek better things to explore and to invest our energy into? As far as I know, men are attracted to women and their bodies as far as humans go back. We are sexual creature and as much as we need to work on civility of our ways, we aren’t such bad people. We all need to do things better, including men and women, but we should really work on things that matter more. Since when are we suddenly in a gender war and who decided that anyway? I want to be seeking better things, making this world into a better place for everyone and everything but I find myself constantly dragged into this madness that society became. Is it because we have too much comfort and we have too much time? Does it really become necessary for us to suffer to finally understand the important things in life? I hope society finds its way, as I believe in the future and that we are becoming smarter together and working towards better things. I hope we find a way to coexist and finish these conflicts once and for all, so we can all seek better things to focus on. I hope I am not the only one that’s trying to demonstrate that I care, and that I respect, everyone and everything the same. I will always do my best to be the best human being I can, not just for myself but everything that surrounds me. I hope everyone does too.
