Chapter 16 – Political Journalism Just Don’t Make Sense
I write today, and as a rare token from me, I talk about politics. More specifically, I talk about Donald Trump vs Hillary Clinton. For today’s conversation, I will discuss about an ongoing affair/bigotry/nonsense that goes in politics. As many know, I am not fond of biased journalism. It is to me, the lowest an organisation can go. I mean people depend on this platform to provide insight and truth on situations and not manipulation or political agendas.
Today, I will reference to this article called “Reality Check: Did Hillary Clinton attack her husband’s accusers?” found on CNN at http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/11/politics/hillary-clinton-donald-trump-bill-clinton-accusers/index.html. I find it astonishing the biased statements made in this article. It is written by Steven A. Holmes and Lisa Rose on Wednesday October 12, 2016.
My problem is not that people have a point of view, it’s rather their hypocrisy that bothers me deeply. Here we are hearing from CNN how everything that Donald Trump says, whether that is public or private matters but then I read this in the mentioned above article: “So it is true that Hillary Clinton used an ugly description of Lewinsky. But, it is also true that this was made in a private conversation with a confidante. It was not a public statement made in a speech, a tweet, an interview or to Lewinsky’s face. As such, it is difficult to make the argument that Clinton was trying to humiliate or bully Lewinsky by making this statement.” In the same logic, we could argue that Donald’s statement about grabbing women by the pu**y is not a bullying comment towards women which we know is not true. I’m all for honesty, and a peaceful world where none of this nonsense exist, but how in the hell are we supposed to accept such double standards and biased journalism? I respect women, and I am the first to stand for equal treatment and equality, whether it’s homosexuals, Latinos, women, men, animals, etc. I don’t find it just to accept this low level of journalism. I say we must see Hillary for who she is, a person that denounced and repressed women that went against her interests. She is purely political and that is what is wrong with her. Her inability to connect to normal people, her inability to even know what it is to live a normal life is beyond repairable. She lives in a political world where she will dig, find trash and use against people even if they are right just for the benefit of her interests.
Now I don’t condone what Donald stands for nor do I like him any better, but I see things for what they are. Donald’s past allegations and statements are something he will eventually pay for, as we all do for our past mistakes, but will Hilary stand to justice for what she has done?
Thank you.
